Kuendu Beach Resort is located ten minutes drive west of downtown Noumea beside a small sandy beach in the secluded point of Nouvelle, the original settlement of Noumea. With beautifully crafted over water bungalows and spacious mezzanine style garden bungalows of traditional design, Kuendu has faced financial difficulty and has been neglected for the past few years. Poised for a new lease of life and facelift, the resort remains open to the public but facilities and services do not live up to the potential of this beautiful setting.



Garden bungalows sit along the rocky coastline and have an open plan lounge area with kitchen and one bedroom downstairs, with a second mezzanine bedroom upstairs, accessed by steep stairs.




The ten over water bungalows have wooden floors, spacious bathrooms and large wooden deck with access to the lagoon. The Honeymon Bungalow is also overwater, but has a private jetty access and larger living interior.


The resort features a public swimming pool with water slides and play area (currently partially closed) and a cafeteria offering snacks as well as a more secluded restaurant for guests only. There’s an on site dive centre, snorkeling tours and the public sandy beach is at the far end of the resort.
